Art in Progress: Nana, Creatrix; Nana, the Powerful

Nana, Creatrix; Nana, the Powerful

Circle around the World,
Nana,
Birdlike;
Fly to bring justice and knowledge.
So we can have peace,
To heal our grief,
Nana,
You need no weapon
to make the world move.
Circle the children,
and make them whole,
Gently,
Nana.
They are so afraid.
Circle the Peacemakers
and those who will help to resolve,
Help us, Nana
Make us whole so we speak the truth.
Circle all those that connect to
The universal path of red, yellow, white and black
That speaks to the four directions
of divine good.
Your presence is powerful;
Illuminate and destroy evil.
Fly, Nana
Fly with us.
Let your presence inspire.
Let those like-minded bring gifts to each other...
Circle the world Nana,
We need no guns to speak out.
We are honored.

Basket-House-Village-Universe

Basket-House-Village-Universe
by Toni Truesdale

Baskets of women
Reflect nourishment
Physical as well as spiritual
Object to concept
Keeping sacred the spirit of everyday life;

Within the home
Utilitarian to universal
Dwelling to village
Community to cosmos
Each human passage
of the last 140 thousand years...

Birth to death
The finite to consummation
End to beginning...

Migrations: Patterns of Movement, Displacement, Clearances and Immigration

Migrations: Patterns                                                of Movement

Displacement,
Clearances and Immigration

Mothers of the Continents

Crossing timeless lands and now deep waters
Weren’t we all once one?

Ancestors evolve into descendants
Mixing culturally;
Contradicting with irony
Centuries of violence;
Against, in essence, our hindsight selves.

If we could have perceived through generations
Past into what will be, now history;
It would transform all the pointless superiority
To embrace all children yet to be
As our common family.
